There's a reason why culture and tech has stagnated since ~2001, whereas if you look at the middle ages, something new was being discovered or made or improved practically every single day. This is also why they don't want it, it frees the human spirit. We must be kept in our cubicle chains with no free time, just being a cog in the machine making money for our overlords.
