Maybe that is what most of them want. However the broader movement has different ideas. The movement only worked because at the time the feeling was that gay people only wanted to be accepted for who they were. There wasn't a huge focus on standing out but rather blending in and it worked very well. Now the LGBT movement only wants to focus on the differences. It only seeks to expand itself without any regards to its own members. By highliting the differences between us; it has only made public perception that much worse. The movement is a cancer eating itself alive right now, and I hope people see that before things get too bad.
