I'm playing the System Shock 2 Remaster and it's indescribable how good this game makes me feel. Yes the combat is a bit janky and wonky but yet it FEELS like the perfect blend of realism, immersion, and video game-ness combined. It feels comparable to the moon landing:
>we had the technology to do this in primitive years
>how the actual fuck do we not have the tech to do this now?
>"lol we lost it/forgot"
90's and prior nerds truly were the last great bastion of actual wizards.
