No, he was based. I only ever see complaints about Supes being too OP when it comes to vidya. Literally every medium has managed to make Supes work just fine without overpowering him. Comic Supes is OP because he's the most experienced hero on the planet ESPECIALLY after the Rebirth merger, so no shit he should be strong in the main comic continuity. But a video game doesn't have to adhere to that and can completely disregard OP Supes since a video game does not have to follow the same continuity as the comics. It's why Supes is weaker in every other continuity or media because those versions of Supes don't have decades of stories to pull from.

Supes was weaker in TAS than in JL/JLU. Everyone was nerfed in TAS.
