I spent the last 2-3 days burning through my mackerels in kaineng. Which sped up my journey considerably. I've now reached the end, believe it or not. What the ascended fish won't cover, I can make up with daily catches. So from here on in, I can just relax, do my daily Janthir farm and breeze my way through. In theory I could just spend gold and finish it rn, but the more I chill, the less I need to spend. So I turn my eyes on whatever to make next instead.

The new especs make me worry that I have to make a bunch of new characters, do I need to make and upgrade a new warrior, just so I can play the upcoming new espec with 4 different builds?

They're not adding new weapons, so you have to go off the weapon choices already in the game.
I'm thinking it's revenant and the bow represents a shortbow. Revenant shortbow is in a weird spot rn where it is an espec weapon, BUT it's not good enough to use, at least not with any of the especs currently part of the game. If you want a good revenant weapon rn, it has to have lots of torment, and the shortbow is bleed+burn.
What Revenant really needs to fix this is a legend that you can camp (since mallyx is also torment) and that syngergizes well with shortbow. Bonus if they rework shiro and give him bleeds, so you don't even need to camp the hypothetical new legend.
