Already there.
Had an median paying FT job in an Australian city and basically all my money was going towards renting... a room in a share house. As a single person.
If you have a high-earning job you have more solutions, but to get that you've either got to have made the right friends in school (ie be a cool normie) or get lucky in choosing a good profession or trade ie electrician and still have to grind for years to be earning decent money. I picked a decent career - however, it's not enough. Almost no career is worth doing in the Australian economy right now unless you are lucky in achieving the right combination of circumstances. I see a lot more people are turning to HR-HR forms of income like entrepreneurship, trading, and actual crime... I'm surprised not more are doing it. You work your FT job so, what, you can rent a room in a dilapidated wooden mold-ridden Queenslander a 15 minute awful packed commute away from your workplace in the big city, you can eat out a couple times a week, maybe you have a partner but of course you can't have her over as per the rules, you have no chance of having a family as you don't have the income for your own apartment, or house, or even to raise a baby. I hope more slaves find the will to leave the system, go live in a van or forest or whatever, realise that working for the system isn't worth it in even the way it used to be, which was the reward of Cypher in the matrix. You serve the system, you get the house, the steak, the hot girl. It's still Babylon and Egypt but you can understand why people serve it - they know they're a slave, they talk about the 'golden handcuffs', they fantasise about leaving it some day, but the pleasures are just enough. Now, you don't get a house or steak or girl. You get nothing, well maybe a sex toy and onlyfans subscriptions. It's no longer a deal with the devil, it's just illogical, stupid decisions. Go be free. Travel three days into the wilderness to serve the Lord your God.
