Just Google "Egyptian actresses" and tell me what you see.
Egyptians in general aren't white, but there's plenty of fair-skinned Egyptians and you'd think since the character in question is fair-skinned they'd use a fair-skinned actress for her. Indians are darker on average but even then there's still some fairly light-skinned Indians, so if you wanted to go for character accuracy, wouldn't you choose one of them?
Of course, if you're Netflix, no you wouldn't. The only One Piece characters they've been 100% faithful with are all the old white men. They like keeping them accurate for some reason. With the Straw Hats and other major characters, they always go with a compromise, trying to replace whites with Jews and casting the darkest skinned actors that are still technically from the correct country. It's just really pathetic.
Surprisingly they didn't do this with Robin when they easily could have.
