To the point where they made their most expensive game to date, Monochrome Mobius, a PS exclusive in 2022, with record low sales leading to the sale of Aquaplus to media conglomerate HIKE. HIKE is probably the ones who slapped their shit and said take the Japanese market seriously.

NIS is Nintendo's bitch now to the point Disgaea 7 complete is switch 2 exclusive overseas.
Gust puts everything on Switch day 1 and the bulk of the sales happen there and on steam.
Falcom finally kneeled and had to admit that PlayStation is dead in Japan and is releasing the Sky remakes prioritizing the switch.
Aquaplus knelt like a bitch and is starting to port everything, on top of that the to heart remake also prioritized the switch.

Now the only remaining joker is Compile Heart/Idea Factory which we suspected was still attached to Sony with their late ports to Switch (and as people found, somehow managing to release the nep trilogy on the switch twice), sometimes simultaneous launches, but now may be too intoxicated with gook and apparently chink money to really stick to the switch.
Compile may unironically go the way of ubisoft and get it's corpse fished up by tencent.
