I admit I don't have particularly strong preferences about Shadow's English voice but I did feel that his rendition in SXSG was the most natural he's sounded in a long while given how his character is meant to be portrayed now. But I also understand the appeal of the bottled up frustrated and angsty Shadow Humphrey delivered originally too. As always IMO the hallmark of a good Shadow VA is their ability to scream Maria's name with conviction and deprived longing:
