Different in each area but for Japan they are more Neutral and broad; you get the best and the worst out of them. Korea; they're strait up demons that want to eat your liver. China is the most interesting where all Kitsune lore comes from sees them as a creature in the middle, or in between worlds so there is some level of reverence for the Fox mostly found in North China.
