Good point. The horror of being petrified for all eternity, made only worse by the knowledge that you could have stopped it. Although does it really make a difference? Alternately, it could just be so difficult that nobody's ever managed it.

She must have had a nice, pleasant, friendly conversation with her unfortunate victim as she lovingly, mockingly, drapes her nude body with flowers and silks, and braids a flower crown into her hair.
