Well, there are guides, but if you've tried and it hasn't worked out for you, I'm not sure what good they will necessary offer; it was approximately seamless for me (fortunate, as I'd be rather lost if it wasn't.) There's a video about installing forge at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFSDsMz_uE0 ; I use that, but not the flux that's also talked about. Rather, using wai-nsfw-illustrious-12, available at civitai, and a couple loras to tilt the style in a much less anime direction.
