I think it's due to a combination of the following:
1. you go out of your way to deliberately keep your currency much weaker than most foreign currencies, which makes your exports competitive and imports prohibitive. An indirect method of protectionism if you will. I think the Chinks do likewise.
2. very aggressive rate of money supply growth.
3. you've not privatised all state owned properties left over from USSR times.
4. you don't plough *ALL* of your money supply growth into inflating the real estate asset price bubble like the entire west does.
