It may seem counter-intuitive, but fasting will speed up your recovery. Your growth hormone will shoot up. I'd recommend starting with 18 hours and building up to a maximum of 32 hours.

One thing you can do is start fasting on your rest day, so maybe have your least meal around 10am, then have a small workout in the morning 24 hours after. Around that time your cells' energy metabolism will be different and many people who ordinarily feel fatigued, tend to feel crisp and clear. Less peak power, but more baseline energy. Keep it light to get used to it. Beyond a certain point your body will use muscle for fuel, but all of this is instantly restored the very next night.

If you condition yourself to work out during a fast, you might find it easier to work out on normal days, on top of the growth hormone benefits.
