You guys need to understand that South Asians come from systems where hundreds of millions compete for meagre resources. Weak institutions, fragmented societies with patronage networks and nepotism, the British colonial legacy leading to both, and rent-seeking behaviour, all contributed.
So South Asians will naturally operate on the periphery of rules to survive. Don't blame us when you feel 'cheated', but the circumstances we were handed, and the colonial faults you left behind. And not so long ago, you all did the same to ensure your family had food on the table. And maybe still do. So spare everyone the self-victimisation and hand-wringing
