Yeah, I sort of gathered most of that, I didn't know the discs came from Orphan though. Som Brain Powerds are just rebels/free agents, Grand Chers are just the name of the Orphan-aligned ones? The people Yume are with are piloting something called something other than Brain Powereds though, I think there's another term used to refer to the robots in general as well. Also both Yume and other pilots (but not Yuu as much?) seem to have some idea of what emotions the pilot or robot might be feeling, and I take it that you're just supposed to take their word on this, like how you have to accept that newtypes will just understand each other enough to give you exposition on what the other's feeling.
I only remember there were weirdly-proportioned big-headed robots (from FSS) posted now and then in /gpg/ and elsewhere, and having somehow picked something up about Brain Powerd, I misassumed that that was it.
