I want to stop being a schizo and assume that while jeffery epstein was a pedo and groomed young girls, he did that on the side as a fetish thing. the powerful people he interacted with was his normal job as a financier and they were mostly innocent. plenty of people get outed as pedos/sex predators; epstein just happened to be rich and powerful and well-connected so people have turned it into a conspiracy theory involving all the world elites
