Looks like the spontaneous transformations have different effects on whoever gets affected by them. Subjects like Steven and Silver seem to have kept their original state of mind and personalities after being transformed, while patients like Calem and Florian look to have had some mental changes to accompany their sudden changes.
Wally here seems to have fallen in under the latter, in particular, she a little too eager to accept her new body and assets.
