If I remember correctly the picture in question still had exif data attached to it and had GPS coordinates fullstop in said exif data. He was dead as soon as the picture was taken. Worst part is he thought he looked cool in his hand me down queer gear and ended up getting his whole platoon killed. I remember the pictures of before and after the building was struck, you could literally see limbs sticking out of the rubble where the beds were. These people died in their sleep because of fucking Reddit. Society really doesn't understand the dangerous stupidity of Reddit in the fact that it can literally kill you just being around one of them.
