Modern fgo is so fucking yappy. I get that it's basically a VN, but even then, show-don't-tell applies when something interesting happens.
Meanwhile fgo's rule of thumb is: say it once, then spell it out. Then spell it out again, choose a dialogue option that's either "I see..." or "Hrumph, I see...", fight 3 skeletons, and then spell it out for you again.
You could probably cut half of all the dialogue in FGO and not miss out on a single bit of character development, or story progress.
