If that was the case, wouldn't he always show up along with them? He wound up being late to Susie's Dark World. It seems more likely that he just travels to them, since they're not separate dimensions, and uses the prophecy to know roughly where and when to show up (with margin for error, hence not always showing up at the same time or place).
