I've been to China and it's actually one of the most chaotic law free countries i've ever been to outside of Beijing and it's normal for young people to have VPN the firewall is exaggerated Chinese people just can't speak English and they have their own apps for everything
I also met people from Tibet and Xinjiang in different cities of China they're not oppressed by the government in anyway
