I'm speaking in broad terms here, acknowledging that there are always exceptions. Traditionally, many women and feminine-presenting individuals have sought partners who can provide stability — whether emotional, physical, or financial. In many cases, this dynamic can place a significant burden on men, who may feel responsible not just for themselves but for supporting someone else as well.

Additionally, some women may choose careers that offer more flexibility or align with personal interests, even if those roles tend to be lower-paying in the current market. Others may prefer to stay at home, which can further shift the financial responsibility onto their partner.

From a male perspective, especially among those with strong traditional values or high ambition, relationship expectations might be relatively straightforward — seeking loyalty, intimacy, and simplicity in a partner. When these expectations aren't met or are perceived as unbalanced, it can create feelings of inequity in the relationship dynamic.

This isn't to say one side is inherently wrong, but rather that the expectations and pressures on both men and women can sometimes be mismatched, leading to tension or dissatisfaction.
