>Takumi Iroha (32) of women’s promotion Marvelous, current holder of NOAH’s GHC Women’s Championship, is burning with the desire for revenge as a golden opportunity returns for the first time in about four years.
>On the 16th at Marigold’s Korakuen Hall event, she will face World Champion Utami Hayashishita (26) in a double title match. At the contract signing held in Tokyo on the 8th ahead of the match, Iroha proposed a 60-minute one-fall rule, which Hayashishita accepted—making it official.
>In addition to holding the GHC Women’s title, Iroha also currently holds the Marvelous AAAW Singles title, AAAW Tag title, and Spain’s RCW Women’s title. “Right now, I’m doing some kind of title defense about once a week. But that’s what fires me up. If I take the crimson belt (the World title) too, that’ll make me a five-title champion… When I won the GHC belt, I felt I had to create a legend—so I’m going to become a belt collector. I’ll take the belt from Hayashishita,” she declared.
