I think Octavia makes more "sense". Classically, vampires are portrayed as aristocrats. Wealthy nobility secluded up in their mysterious castles, menacing and alien to the rest of the world. Octavia suits that aesthetic both in name and appearance, and perhaps a narrative could be woven about a musician who feeds on the blood of other musicians, seeking to drain them of their talents.
