"Hey, Phascomon?" You ask, as you load yourselves back into your home.
"Yeah?"
"Do you think we're ready to go into another service partition? It was rough last time."
"I think we can take it. As long as we have proper info. But that's not under our control, so might as well not fret."
"I guess you're right. I'm just a little worried about meeting something that outclasses us again."
"Like DarkTyrannomon. Or a Cargodramon."
"Exactly. I'm thinking we need to find a way to fight more Champion-level Digimon. Raremon was a bit of a chump, but now he's gone. Other Champions are so rare that we're unlikely to find them. Unless we intentionally go challenge the City's minions."
"What about Kaus Gammamon? I wouldn't mind going a few rounds with him."
"That makes sense. Hang on, I'm gonna go get cleaned up. I'll think about it."
While you wash yourself clean and purge that feeling of having been sloshing through the sewers, you consider your next course of action. You have a good span of time to prepare, and you should get more experience fighting strong Digimon. Small fry will probably not cut it for long. Thanks to the stunted Digital ecosystem in 87O, finding a stronger opponent is quite hard. What sort of target is appropriate at this point of time?
>Ask Wind to let your partner spar with Kaus Gammamon. Not deleting him means that you get no data from it, but you can at least have him and Porcupamon practice against each other. It's a much slower training method, but has no risk at all. No heat, no risk of injury.
>Pteramon. You see them flying overhead rather often. It's possible to bait one into being alone, and then challenging it to a fight. It's the most accessible of the City's hostile Digimon. The downside is obviously the amount of heat it will bring.
>Mekanorimon. Just like Pteramon, you see them up in the air sometimes. Thanks to Commandramon, you know that it tends to have elite Rookies hiding inside. There might not be as much data volume from them, but you could start whittling down assets that are less expendable than flying patrol units.
