Nuckelavees are one of my favorite obscure folklore monsters I’d love to work into a game at some point.
I remember learning about them from these cards you could mail order when I was a kid that mostly told you about real animals (alive or extinct), but they also occasionally did supernatural stuff. The art was surprisingly scary for a kids product.
