For me, it's the mystery behind the character. What's she like when not being totally controlled by Junko? How was her time as a merc, did she have any friends, any tragic losses or hard lessons(I know she never got injured even once, but what about the rest of fenrir)? What about her likes and dislikes? Her dreams? Her reason for becoming the Ultimate Soldier? The trained needed to reach that peak?
The lack of answers to "Who is Mukuro?" make her much more interesting. Yet answering these questions officially in anyway will ruin her character. Mukuro is, in essence, whatever the viewer wants her to be. Also she's cute in a plain sort of way compared to the rest of the cast.

Mukuro is really interesting to me. I've always found it difficult to get a good read on her personality. It's like she's entirely different in every work she's in.
