I follow a bunch of westaboos
One of them was asked about it on tumblr and mentioned they're expensive and are rarely translated
Stuff like IDW Transformers, IDW Sonic, Heroes of Crisis (I remember Tom King showing off a cover in Japanese), etc do get translated and for a time Dogwelder was a popular character among westaboos
I know there are Peanuts fans as well
Anyways there are also western comic fanzines that date decades prior
