i remember actually renting that Curse of the Inferno VHS at Blockbuster as a middle schooler in 1998 (cant remember a single thing about it today) after I saw him promote it on Conan (think it was a "in select citites only" indie movie type deal so it never played near me) i remember it was supposed to be Pauly trying to drop the weasle routine and going for a more grounded serious dramedy type movie, but that seemed to pretty much be the end of his career after that because he didnt do another movie ever since did he?
