What the fuck is up with parrying in this game? I can never get the timing right and the window seems to be pretty small, dodging as well. Does it get easier after unlocking more skills?

Also, is there any way to cancel combos or attacks? some combos leave wide open to get hit because this bitch is doing aerobics mid air.
