Summary for Sumika 24-27
It's been 2 months since Sumika's training arc and it's starting to show results. Her dancing is noticeably more stable and her body is finally able to match her instincts. P surprises her that she's going to participate in a upcoming live. Sumika sees the reaction on social media and realizes how many fans she has now. On the day of the live, Sumika dances exceptionally well but her dancing is stiff. Lilja says to P that it's very similar to how Sumika did ballet back then, how she was all focused and concentrated.
Backstage, P congratulates Sumika... but asks if she had fun. Sumika can't honestly say yes. P tells her it's because she's too much of a good girl and she needs to be more free. She's much too concerned meeting people's expectations of her. The large influx of fans after NIA only amplified that. P has her go to Temari for advice. After an advice session with Temari featuring Tokontsu Ramen, Miso ramen, and Chasumisodon, Sumika heads back to P. She acts full on like Temari for a bit but reverts to her normal self (She's also tried it with her dad and he hated it too). P explains it better. She needs to focus on "what she wants" rather what other people expect of her. In concentrating only to meet everyone's expectations, she won't be able to show truly exceptional results... is the pretense he's showing. What he really wants is Sumika to be happy. The last thing he wants is for Sumika to quit idoling because of pain or difficulty.
P :I promise to make you happy!
S: Ye-Yes!
So P asks Sumika: what would make you happy? And Sumika replies she wants to be on same stage as Lilja in the HIF. So P agrees to have the two participate in the HIF unit division and P reveals that he's been planning this all along. That's why he had Lilja do that training with Sumika. He even asked Lilja already, until she agreed. After a quick romcom bit, the two ask P to guide them
