These movies barely take themselves seriously in the first place. I don't think you can have an "okay, at THIS point they're just crossing the line" moment when the first movie literally has Sonic walk around in a "disguise" that's just a cowboy hat and a long shit. They're basically written as cartoons despite the live action element.
Expect the fourth movie to make several reference to other movies like Terminator and Back to the Future while lampshading common time travel tropes.

Also Sonic will probably be even more annoying as usual so the writers can set up a shallow "will they, won't they" dynamic with Amy.
