>There is an active shooter situation in the vicinity of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho right now. Roughly four hours ago, Kootenai County firefighters responded to a wildfire, now dubbed the Canfield Mountain Fire. About 30 minutes later, those firefighters were ambushed with gunfire.

>Preliminary reports say that nine firefighters and two law enforcement officers have been shot. Sheriff Bob Norris says that two firefighters have died. A firefighter was head over scanner traffic stating that the fire appears to have been started by the suspect in order to draw them in. Three LifeFlight medevac helicopters left the area within the past 20 minutes.

>The suspect is believed to be a male wearing camouflage and armed with a “modern sporting rifle”. Two Spokane County Sheriff's Office helicopters from Washington are flying over the area. Federal authorities are en route to the scene. A large manhunt is underway to find the shooter.
