While I stopped supporting Trump because of his response to COVID, I still for whatever reason gave him the benefit of the doubt. But that benefit of the doubt came from wanting to believe. I ignored things that I no longer can now. All of his "charm" and humor no longer works on me anymore, almost like I woke up from a cult and can now see what non-cult members always could. Trump now just comes across as stale and repeated. Like I see what he is doing now. It is all the work of a man who operates like a magician. But once you know how the trick is pulled off, you can no longer fall for it. It no longer amuses you. And that's what Trump is. He is impotent now. I'm tired of hearing about "billions and billions and billions" or "the lunatic left" or "sleepy Joe" or "rigged election" or "fake news" or "Russia, Russia, Russia" or "gave them Javelins, Obama gave them sheets."

These phrases no longer work on me. I just see them as an annoying bad trick, a deflection to hide dishonesty and to hide a personality that isn't genuine.
