So I've been wondering, if a large part of the FFXIV community is so obsessed with the 2nd life aspect of it, dressing their characters up, modding them to make them look unique, modding all kinds of poses, dances and emotes, RP/ERP, if it's all about this kind of a thing and interacting with others players then... why won't these people just go play VRChat? The whole modding community is actively trying to stand on their hands to make everything work and to maintain the tools needed to make these things work, but what for, exactly? There's a whole different game made exactly for this kind of stuff that's way simpler to set up, play and get around in. There isn't a single thing that VRChat doesn't do better than XIV in that regard. So why were XIV players so desperate to turn this game into a lifesim if there was an already perfect alternative for it?
