3. While for really basic things a well trained model is all you need, to get more detailed results or specific styles of images you need what's called a Lora. These are basically addons to the model that force it to output a specific thing that the model might not be able to do natively. This can be things like a character, ie a newly revealed Pokegirl that the model wouldn't know of, it can be an artstyle, ie that one really good artist that doesn't upload their art anywhere but twitter and then has weekly meltdowns deleting all their art so no boorus can ever catalog it, or it can be concepts such as a certain meme position that just started trending.
So say you wanted to gen sloppa of the new Pokegirl in the style of this new artist doing this new meme pose. You'd need to download the lora of the character so the AI knows what she looks like, the lora of the artist so the AI knows the artstyle to mimic, and the lora of the pose so the AI knows what pose to draw them in. That's an extreme example but it should get the point across.
One thing to note is many loras will say it was trained on so and so model. So if the lora says it was trained on Illustrious it may not work well if you try to combine it with the PonyDiffusion model. Many times if the concept is popular enough you can find results for multiple models but don't always expect that.
That's basically all you need to know for simple genning. There's a lot more fine detail stuff but I don't know it too well. You'll have to read around yourself to find out.
