You could instead look at fflogs and see that viper doesn't spike quite as high, and does a bit more in between, but it's actually not as bad as I thought.

Ok but Dismantle is better than Curing Waltz and Improv combined, and better than Nature and Paen combined.
You're complaining that it does more than 1 ability than the other jobs does with 2? You're complaining it doesn't have button bloat with lots of power spread over more less impactful abilities? I'm glad you're not on the design team making things even worse. This game needs less buttons that have more strategy and dynamism behind their use rather than tons of buttons that all do the same boring unimpactful uninspired shit.
