Cons:

The headband ended up snapping after a month, picrelated (the pic is not mine).

Good news is that after disassembling the headset I found that the design lands itself very well to DIY mods. The upper headband only houses a single wire, all the electronics and the battery are in the caps.
The screws the headset uses are also in a very fortunate positions and have good head shapes.
I think I'm just going to 3d print a new headband specifically for my head shape. I will report on that later.

Pretty sure, the software needs to support it. Most DAWs do, same with most half-decent audio/video players (foobar2000 and mpc-hc both do).
But be aware that you lose the convenience of the default OS mixer, so you can only listen to one audio source at the same time.
