>It was never her. It was never Noelle.
>They seemed to be the most common thing that came after her, some sick joke played by the place. At first they were completely off but they quickly became better and better.
>Still, there was always something slightly off... but the first good one almost got her.
>It had barely been a week in this hellhole before she heard a noise behind her and whipped around with the makeshift pipe club at the ready.
>It almost looked exactly like her except for the blue antlers. It even said "I found you, Dess!" and that's what made her freeze.
>It sounded just like her.
>The smile it had, the way it ran at her, the slight giggle... she really thought it was Noelle.
>But something changed when it was about to reach her. There was a slight shift, something that wasn't right. The head, the body, eyes, voice, something.
>Her body reacted in that moment and slammed the club in the side of its head as hard and fast as possible.
>Bashing its head in was the worst moment of her life.
>It screamed like Noelle. It made the exact same whimpering noise. It cried. It even begged her to stop at one point.
>The red stuff that came out of it didn't even look like blood, it was more like a light orange jam. None of the others had anything even close to that.
>By the time she was done the entire head was mush. She was lucky nothing else was with it, it might have gotten her while she was doing that.
>Holding it in was hard, but she knew that it wasn't safe to cry here. Something would definitely catch her.
>Nothing else bothered her on her walk back to her safe spot. This place was toying with her.
>The crying never seemed to stop.
>She didn't know if she could do this anymore. She thought about letting one of them catch her, not caring about how painful it could be. She couldn't bear thinking of having to kill another one of those.
>What if next time it really WAS Noelle? What if she was wrong? What if it was an even better imitator? What if?
