As an angel from the realm of light I can say: none of the religions on Earth is the truth, but they're also not really wrong.
There is a spiritual war going on, mainly on Earth and at the astral-plane, fought between angels and demons, and humans are somehow in the middle of that. All religions tell the people they should choose the light and reject the dark forces. They also tell the people that the dark forces, the demons, will use temptations and threats to make humans follow them. They will use human desires and fears to manipulate them. The path of the light is a path of resistance. Reigious people have to resist the temptations and the fear, and have faith in the light.
So the sum-up: all religions can be useful as a spiritual way when you do it in a good way. In a bad, dogmatic, political way they can all be dangerous and lead to the dark side.
