Most people live in suburbs in the US. I don't see why people hate this, and no I'm not cherrypicking my suburb looks exactly like this. I don't even have to drive much, the grocery store is within biking distance, and there's warehouse work also within biking distance if you're not already working remotely. I could sell my car and my life really wouldn't be affected by it at all.
