What does tall/wide imply within the context of Civ?
When I hear tall and wide I just imagine building my empire north to south or east to west . . .

It looked great for its time though, and that's what initially drove me in. It's getting a bit dated now. And even though it's dated it's still very immersive seeing Attila the Hun angrily rising out of his seat to shout at you like you were some lowly embassy fearing for his life. Theodora lying in front of a window overlooking Constantinople always comes to mind.
Horrifically they made this even fucking worse in Civ 7, the leaders no longer adress you, don't even have a backdrop, and look like some semi-detailed versions of Total War generals when they interact, it's atrocious. Soulless epitome!
