What the fuck was the goal with this guy? They introduce him as being the reincarnation of this powerful insane demon guy and then it just basically never comes up again in the next two games in any meaningful way except the one time per game that they remind you that this was a thing. Then he joins up with Van because he wants to get away from Heiyue and be his own man but he can't go 5 seconds without talking about Heiyue and how cool they are or trying to hang out with them whenever they show up. What the fuck is the point of this guy? It's like he has multiple different writers and none of them talk to eachother.
