I'm more decrying the egregious data manipulation. Urban heat islands are increasing because cities are getting bigger, so weather stations are reading higher temperatures. They're removing weather stations in remote (read: cooler) areas because they need that upkeep money for more Haribo for the darkies so they don't burn down their free houses again. They look at historical measurements from eg. newspapers that align fairly well with modern ones and conclude that they must have measured wrong. When all else fails they simply take the weather station off the 2m pole and stick it on the tarmac at an airport between a jet engine and an aircon condenser.
We had a cold and miserable summer last year and it was still touted as the "hottest summer on record."
It's definitely getting warmer. I'm just tired of the propaganda.
