Every night I fly to the moon, it only takes 384 wingbeats, I have counted them many, many times. For a lesser angel with only 2 wings it would take many more, luckily I have six. They are nearly invisible against the surrounding darkness.
I land to the usual spot, the moon seems to dim for just a split second when my bare feet touch it's surface. Terra looks so peaceful from here, a little blue orb, rotating slowly.
But lets get back to the story. Mortals do not know this, but there is a little white cube on the moon. It's purpose is to collect the souls of the dead until they are reincarnated. I have long ago forgotten what I should do with it.
I have forgotten, and the souls are screaming, crying, pleading so loudly. "Please, my kids need me!" or "I was just crossing the road!" Also some incoherent babbling, that one perished young, very young.
I can't stand it, so I open a window to a place called the void, nothing and no-where. Surprisingly, the void isn't pitch-black like one would assume. Its actually white, like an empty canvas.
I drop the cube to the void, where it will fall forever, and ever, and ever. I have forgotten what I was supposed to do, and another cube will have appeared tomorrow. It takes 384 wingbeats to get back to Terra.
