Gunn's replacement is working at the Studio. Matt Reeves is definitely being groomed to take over if Gunn shits the bed. That is why Gunn is so passive aggressive towards Reeves because Reeves cut into his plans with Batman. Gunn can't touch Batman til Reeves is done with his trilogy and knowing Reeves he is dragging his feet til Gunn's films flop so he can take over.
