More than anything, I think he just doesn’t want dogs inside because he thinks they’re dirty and might destroy something. I think he would be okay with an outside dog. The only reason I believe he didn’t want to keep the puppy is that it wouldn’t be right to leave a small puppy outside. I’ve also thought about buying or building a big dog house like this, so the kids wouldn’t feel like they need to bring the dog inside, just making some modifications to it
