They found success with their Moshiach ben Joseph, the suffering messiah, (gee, sound kind of like Jesus son of Joseph?) and created a subversive religion that spiritually conquered their pagan enemies.
The whole NT is just a fairy tale to subvert gentiles with slave morality. Jesus wasn't a historical person, he's a fiction created from midrashic interpretation of other jewish fairy tales.
