If zoomers won't reproduce then you're looking at a scenario in which old people are weighing down society at unprecedented levels and they will fight for every scrap. They will have their families and their connections and they WILL utilize everything to get their share, they will get more than that even.
If a baby boom happens during this time period, the remaining working age population is getting saddled with another burden, they will have to pay for the upkeep of ther kids AND the elderly, but if there's no baby boom, then it's smooth sailing to extinction. It's over either way.
